Planned sessions for IP002

29.10.2013 - 31.10.2013 LANexpert Lausanne

Description

This course is giving a detailed outline of the various technologies implemented in the architectures TCP / IP, including the protocols of routing and the tools of control and supervision.

Audience

Adminstrators Systems & Network, Engineers & Project Managers

Requirements

This course requires a good knowledge of the protocol TCP / IP. We recommend to have followed the course IP001 " Advanced Knowledge of Networks and associated Services " or to have an equivalent level.

Objectives

  1. Physical medium and WAN data linking used to transport IP (PPP and PPPOA, PPPOE ADSL etc, FR, ATM, DSL)
  2. Detailed technologies related to Ethernet switching (TB, STP, VLAN, FEC)
  3. Differentiation between routing protocols and in-depth knowledge of these routing protocols (RIP2, OSPF, BGP)
  4. Introduction to packet sniffing and network prerequisites
  5. Introduction to network protocols and management techniques
  6. Detail of a network troubleshooting methodology with an emphasis on some useful tools
