Description

The goal of this course is to learn how to implement the IT service processes in enterprise, referencing ITIL best practices, by practical cases designed or experienced by LANexpert. At once the theoretical part acquired by the Foundation course, it will be completed by the practical experience and knowledge of IT solutions from LANexpert.

This course is intended to the persons having already acquired the ITIL basic notions or followed the ITIL Foundation Training (Session 1)

Objectives

  1. The goal of this course is to learn how to implement the IT service processes in enterprise, referencing ITIL best practices, by practical cases designed or experienced by LANexpert.

Program

Day 1 : reminder and presentation of the case studies
- This first day is a reminder of the ITIL basics and the cases studies presentation. The students having opted for the complete program will join the class in the afternoon, after passing the white exam (reminders not being useful).
- In the morning : ITIL basics reminders. This half-day is a foundation training synthesis. Each process is approached according to the same plan: basic concepts, goals and utilities, process’s description, role and functions, process's control, risks
- In the afternoon : Processes’s Cartography :relationship between the different processes; IT Service Management facts : Management expectations and chief executive faced problems; Introduction to practical cases in this context : approach, ITIL contributions and LANexpert know how
Day 2 & 3 : Case Studies
- Every case study is approached according to the following plan:
- Classical situations and typical demands
- Main ITIL Processes concerned identification: use of the best practices as a framework to make a better definition of the Customer needs. The objective is to complete the needs using the concerned ITIL processes. To precise these processes by the better practices.
- Existing technical solutions and different ways to address the identified needs presentation. Solutions evaluation by comparison and resuming strong and weak points. Classification of the solutions against priorities and objectives.
- Advising on project implementation stages and project management for the study, the design, the implementation and the maintenance
